Countywide polygon coverage used to represent the current zoning districts.Each polygon has a name field listing the general district and a label field that may have a more specific reference to an overlay district or ordinance amendment.Action taken by the Board of Supervisors that approve a rezoning request is the primary cause for editing.Zoning cases are usually heard by the board on the second Tuesday of the month, results from this meeting are noted the following day.Other changes/corrections are occasionally made to make alignment adjustments or correct any misrepresentations.All edits are made by the Planning Department.Access to the layer within the department is limited solely to one Technical Support Specialist.This layer frequently coincides with the parcel and street centerline layers. |
